Do I need a referral?

Physiotherapists are primary contact practitioners, that is you do not need a referral from a doctor before you can see a physiotherapist.

Often your doctor will provide you with a letter to give to the physiotherapist to update them on your condition and general health.  Please bring any letters or x-rays with you to your appointment.

We have an excellent relationship with the local doctors and will liaise with your doctor if necessary.

In some circumstances physiotherapy can be covered through Medicare.  This service is provided by the Government Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) Programme.
